VINTAGE ROMANIAN WOVEN WICKER SADDLE PACK WITH CANVAS TOP EMPTY
Pannier bags are similar to saddle bags but are hard-sided, hold much more gear, and are fitted explicitly onto pack saddles, in sets, where bulky items can be packed. These Vintage Wicker Mule Packs were used by the Romanian Army to transport various materials to support the troops wherever the Romanian Armed Forces were deployed. Wicker bags have a wicker and canvas lid secured by metal latches. The interior of the wicker bag has a metal cross brace to keep its shape, during transport, when fully loaded.
