When you need a cord that provides an extra degree of security, our super-tough military-style para cord with Jute is an ideal choice. 550 Cord is great for tie-downs, construction, survival, repair, camping, and hiking. With a 5/32" thickness and a minimum tensile strength of 550 pounds, it has all the strength of a standard seven-strand 550 cord, plus the security of the eighth strand of jute. Jute is a natural fiber that when shredded and balled makes great kindling and combusts easily to start a fire. Each of the remaining seven inner strands has a 30-pound tensile strength and can be used by itself for fishing lines, gear repair, and even shoe laces. 50 ft. Weighs .40 lbs.
